Job Summary
We are seeking a caring and dependable Toddler Classroom Aide to support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment for young children. Our classroom is Montessori-inspired, encouraging independence, hands-on exploration, and child-led learning. The ideal candidate enjoys working with toddlers and helping them grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (CDA or Paraprofessional Certification preferred)

• Experience working with toddlers in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting preferred

• Patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for early childhood education

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with staff

• CPR and First Aid Certification (required)

• Interest in Montessori or child-centered learning approaches is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom routines and developmentally appropriate activities

• Support a Montessori-inspired classroom environment that encourages independence and exploration

• Guide children in using hands-on learning materials and practical life activities

• Supervise toddlers during play, meals, nap time, and outdoor activities

• Assist with diapering, feeding, and other basic care needs

• Encourage self-help skills such as cleaning up, handwashing, and putting materials away

• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom

• Communicate with teachers and families about children’s daily activities and progress

• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
