Long Term Substitute - Upper School English Teacher

We are seeking a long-term substitute English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide engaging instruction, create a positive learning environment, and ensure continuity of English instruction during the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Responsibilities:

• Follow and implement lesson plans as prescribed by the classroom teacher.

• Provide instruction in various art techniques, mediums, and styles

• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

• Assess student progress and provide feedback

• Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents

• Maintain a safe and organized classroom space

• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities as required

• Follow school policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English Education or related field

• Valid ODE teaching certification or Substitute License

• Experience teaching art to students of various ages and skill levels

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Schedule:

This is a long-term substitute position for the second semester.
