Job Title: Long-Term Substitute Intervention/Learning Specialist
Location: Middle and Upper Schools
Term: October 6, 2025 – April 7, 2026

Position Overview:
Gilmour Academy is seeking a dedicated Long-Term Substitute Intervention/Learning Specialist to support our Middle and Upper school students during a maternity leave. The substitute will initially shadow the current specialist from October 6, 2025, through December 19, 2025, to ensure a smooth transition, and will then assume full responsibilities from December 23, 2025, through April 7, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted academic interventions and support to students in middle and upper school.

• Collaborate with faculty to identify and implement individualized learning strategies.

• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.

• Maintain detailed records and communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and administration.

• Participate in relevant meetings and professional development as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

• Valid teaching certification.

• Demonstrated experience in supporting students with academic interventions.

• Proficient in understanding learning disabilities and implementing effective intervention strategies.

• Exceptional communication skills to engage with teachers, parents, and other stakeholders within the Gilmour community.
