Upper School Mathematics Teacher (Full-Time)

Gilmour Academy seeks an outstanding full-time Upper School Mathematics Teacher. The ideal candidate is an experienced and collaborative educator whose values align with Gilmour’s mission and who is committed to helping students grow academically, personally, and spiritually.

Position Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Teach a broad range of Upper School mathematics courses, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and AP Statistics.
• Deliver engaging, rigorous instruction that promotes significant student growth and achievement.
• Apply innovative and effective teaching strategies.
• Integrate instructional technology to enhance student learning.
• Create a supportive classroom environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with colleagues in ongoing professional development and curriculum development.
• Contribute to the life of the school and uphold its mission in the Holy Cross tradition.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• Valid Ohio teaching licensure/certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field (advanced degree preferred)
• A strong academic background in Mathematics or a related field.
• Proven success teaching secondary mathematics across multiple levels.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to continuous professional growth.
• Enthusiasm for educating young people in a Catholic, Holy Cross school environment.
